M51 taken last night
« on: September 19, 2012, 11:37:07 PM »
I managed to get out last for a couple of hours & got a chance to image the Whirpool Galaxy.

The image comprises of 17 x 300s exposures, 1 x 60s exp, 6 x darks & 16 Bias frames. It was stacked in DSS & processed in PixInsight using a tutorial I found online. I think though, that I'll keep taking subs of it over a few night to bring out even more detail as another few hours of subs will bring out much more detail.

Any advice or tips are very welcome.

Jeff
