Take advantage of the 2" focuser and get something like a 28mm William optics/ skywatcher nirvana 82 degree eyepiece, you will get fantastic views through your 12" scope with that.
Your 8mm BST will be ok for high magnification leaving you with a mid range gap at 15-16mm, again WO/ SW nirvana do a 16mm 82 degree 1.25" ep. Those 3 SHOULD cover your viewing over a session.
Hope this helps.

i would also consider a few filters, particularly with planet observations,

If you can afford it I I would go for the Explorer Scientific 2" 100 degree range, either the 9 or 14mm for your new scope. I am also with Lorne as I have a 28mm SW Nirvana which for the money is fab and this would suit your scope. Try a FOV viewer app to determine how these or other EPs will frame your favourite objects and this will help you choose the right EP for your scope. Steve has the 13mm TV Ethos for his 12" dob and it is a fantastic fit and an incredible EP (but very expensive! - might pick one up 2nd hand a bit cheaper but they don't come up often and go quick). Try and pick up your EPs 2nd hand if you can to reduce cost.

Explore Scientific have some great ep's at 100 degrees which I use with the 12" dob as they keep the object in view longer before having to nudge it on and they are great. Nirvana at  82 degrees are also great. As Lorne can confirm I only ever buy 2nd hand so keep an eye on SGL for sale section and astro buy n sell uk

Skywatcher do 100degree EP's as well https://www.firstlightoptics.com/skywatcher-eyepieces/myriad-mwa-100110-eyepieces.html
They get a very positive review and are a bit cheaper than the ES

Bristol Camera's has the 20mm a bit cheaper than FLO as well...

I agree with James' view on the 13mm Ethos - a real cracker with size of aperture.

Would this advice all largely hold true for a 10" Dob?

Yes BeerMe. This is just a discussion about what quality eyepieces folk would recommend

I understood that much dogfish  ;D

I was just wanting to know if the EPs that are recommended for a 12" Dob would also be the EPs people would recommend for a 10" Dob.  I assume it would as it's not a big difference in aperture or focal length, but you never know :-)

Visually all the 2" eyepieces mentioned above would work in either the 10" or 12" Dobs but the balance of the 10" may be affected, some of these EP's are over 1kg in weight - OK with the 12" but Iain has a counterweight fitted to the base of his 10" flextube.

I saw a second hand 13mm TV Ethos on Astro B&S last week for 350. It sold very quickly - you've got to be lightening quick to pick those bad boys up!
