Who is all going? Decided  I better try the tent out as its been in packed away for over a year.  Time for a practice pitching this weekend!

Still not sure what scope to bring. Leaning towards the eSprit80 purely cos it only needs 1 counterweight...lol.

Cheers

Hi all,
We would just like to thank all of you for coming along. We had a great turnout and Saturday peaked at around 100 participants. We had a drone doing pics and videos, Steve and James did a sterling job with 4/5 shows in the Cosmos Planetarium - the sky played ball for all 3 nights - Saturday was a bit slow, (although early on was a beautiful day,) (so late afternoon, we had to give some business to the local hostelry.) Around 11.30pm, one of our group popped out for a ciggie and the cry went out for clear skies. We headed back to camp and the outreach was in full swing. Ring, Dumbell, Andromeda, Double Cluster, Garnet Star, all the nice visuals were looking great. Dew became an issue later on, but all in all, for our 1st East Coast Star Camp, I think from all the feedback, was a tremendous success.

Thank you all so much for attending.

P.S. Also thanks to Pete Miller for hogging the whisky, Natasha, Mark and Stuart who dished out booze and good banter.

Well done David and Martyn.  Brilliant time was had. Next I now know I don't need to bring as much gear. Was great looking though all the visual guys scopes. Never had a go at a solar scope before so that was good. Alberto in the 18" was so far apart. Wow! Had to goto bed early last night as I was so tired. Will process IC1546 cocoon nebula and M15 maybe tonight and see what we have. Still learning the G2-8300 so might not be the best. We'll see.

Looking forward to the next one. Glad I only had two whisky's on Friday.....lol.

Again. Many thanks for organising you can we well proud everyone that made it possible.

Clear skies
