My heq5 mount power point
« on: March 30, 2016, 01:45:00 PM »
I thought I would do a better power point and join the club lol as a lot more ppl are doing the mod was very easy to do and only cost me just under 6.
Will use the original port for my camera so I don't need to worry about charging and changing batteries.

I've no idea what it looked like before, maybe the hole in the first pic?
Anyway, good on you for having a go.
As Lorne says, a neat job - well done!

Thats a great mod - cures a well documented weak point on the HEQ5.

Do you have a link to the source for the plug and socket ?

Thanks for posting it.

What a great idea, and 1 less cable coming off the mount if you are using the original socket to power the camera.......
Skywatcher star discovery 150p
Canon 1000d
Philips spc900 webcam
Loads of other bits n bobs

Everything will be OK in the end, if its not OK its not the end........
