HEQ5 Belt Drive mod
« on: September 10, 2013, 07:49:15 AM »
The Beauty of this mod was that it retains the standard gear ratio so I can still use it with the handset :)

Nice video, it certainly sounds alot different since you did the mod,
I'll be interested in how you find it affects the tracking.

Must admit I was considering this mod earlier in the year but
the fact that the mod at that time didn't work work with the
handset was a little bit of a put-off so I went another way for other
reasons.

Looks good though.

Says video not found? Will be interested to see how this affects the tracking as I thought the main source of error was in the main/big gear

There will be some error in those gear's, but there will also be some in the worm and ring gear.
I seen the video earlier today and it is super smooth /quiet. I think there will be an improvement, in imaging any improvement is good imo.
