I have an emergency - can anyone help??
« on: November 19, 2013, 08:55:42 AM »
I am hoping that someone has a finder scope or rdf that I would be able to borrow for a couple of weeks? I don't have one for the new scope yet & won't have one I get paid next Friday but I'm desperate to try it out before then if possible.

If anyone can help out, let me know & we can sort something out.

Thanks,

Jeff

I have a rigel QuickFinder which you can borrow for a Few weeks if that's of use? It needs double sided tape to attach but other than that its perfect. I live in pathhead in midlothian, not sure if that's close to you. Anyway, yours if you need it, just let me know.

I have a 9 x 50 SkyWatcher with mount.  Its gathering dust so you can have it if you want  - west side of edinburgh.

There's nothing wrong with it, I just swapped it for the RACI version.

I finally picked up the William Optics 110 FLT from Ivor. It's a beauty of a scope & I can't wait to get first light with it!!

Thanks for the very kind offer Mike, but I've taken Bruce up on his offer of the quickfinder as I find rdf's easier to use.

It was a bit daft of me to not give you the Baader when you were here Jeff, as you were obviously interested in it, but I didn't realise you were completely finderless for the "new" scope. If for any reason the other folks' offers fall through, it's here for you to use 'til you have the moolah.
