Title: Asteroid (3200) Phaethon
Post by: Longjohn54 on December 16, 2017, 02:41:37 PM
This asteroid makes its closest approach to earth this evening.  At mag 11.2 it's going to be fun trying to spot it and it's pretty fast moving.
The chart shows its path across the sky from 3pm today to 3am tomorrow.

My sky was clear in that there were no clouds but the seeing was appalling, like looking through mist, so I didn't spot it at all.
